Yi-Hsien Cheng is a costume designer for theater and film. She is originally from Taipei, Taiwan and received her MFA in Costume Design from California Institute of the Arts. Her most recent theater works include the Maids, Appropriate at CalArts and the Pillowman which played in Taiwan in 2018. Her film credits include Teddy Mate(USC), Hereafter and HIẾU which will premiere at the 2019 Festival de Cannes for its Cinéfondation Selection.
Yi-Hsien also holds a BA in Theatre & Drama from National Taiwan University. Prior to attending California Institute of the Arts, she was active in theater, film, and TV in Taiwan as a stylist, costume designer, and wardrobe supervisor that she has worked as in Martin Scorsese’s feature, Silence, under Dante Ferretti and Susan Kulkarni.
